Welcome to BUNION.BIZ

The whole problem is that complications
sometimes occur after surgery and sometimes even more than 8 weeks are needed to treat certain complications. This possibly could mean that you might be unable to walk after surgery. Even though this possibility may possibly be small, in this economy could you afford any small possibility of missing work? |
Please understand that I believe conservative care for bunion pain is needed. Also
if you attempt to treat a bunion that is not painful, there is a possiblity that after surgery pain may occur. This is supposed to be discussed with you by your podiatrist or other licensed health care practitioner. |
BEWARE OF
UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS FROM BUNION SURGERY. |
BE CAREFUL
I am a podiatrist that has seen post op
complications. |
Patients with bunions sometimes go to hospital clinics. How many surgical cases
are needed to be documented so that the residency program attains approval? Should conservative approaches to treating the bunion be suggested by hospital clinics? What happens to the podiatric surgical residency teaching program if not enough surgical bunion cases are found? Does the program still remain as an approved podiatric residency teaching program in podiatric surgery? |
I believe the sub specialty of podiatric orthopedics and primary podiatric
medicine is important. There are many patients who have bunions whose life styles cannot afford the possibility of a post op complication that may possibly result in a loss of time working on the job. |
